Co-Founder and Personal Trainer at Onyx
Strength and Conditioning Specialist | Boxing Coach
Having gained a degree in Sports Science specialising in strength, power and endurance and having over 10 years experience in the fitness industry, I have a gained a great deal of knowledge and experience which can help you achieve your goals. During this time, I have worked with hundreds of clients ranging from children to the elderly, each with very different goals, including athletes preparing for international sporting competitions, to those just wanting to improve their general health and fitness or improve their physique for a special occasion.
I have a calm manner and believe in taking a smart structured approach to training, focusing on proven techniques that have stood the test of time. My programmes are designed to help my clients reach their goals in the most efficient way possible, rather than just a group of random, erratic exercises with no structure hiding behind phrases like ‘shock the body’ or ‘no pain no gain’. You shouldn’t only get fitter and healthier but also enjoy training and learn new skills.
As a coach I feel it’s important to continually improve my knowledge and gain more tools to help my clients, this has led me to complete a number of courses and workshops including the UKSCA Strength and Conditioning workshops as well as Specialised Combat Conditioning workshops. It has also led me to become a NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist as well as to study Advances in Athlete Preparation, Recovery and Performance.
Sport and fitness have always been an important part of my life. I currently compete as a amateur boxer for one of the top clubs in the country which gives my own training focus. I previously competed in the sport of powerlifting where I won my weight class in the GBPF Greater London Powerlifting Competition as well as having played a variety of different sports growing up at competitive level.
